this word is so common and so often used like this. For foreigners it get can frustrating whenever something was supposed to happen and it doesn't and Egyptians just say معلهش . One of the famous Egyptian authors had a phrase like ma3alishsh syndrome in which he also commented on how often Egyptians use the word. (interjection)
